It Wasn't Me

 [Posted 18-Jul-2010]

A dreadful sexual assault in Canada was recently perpetrated by some fellow with the same name as me. (http://news.nationalpost.com/2010/07/15/reports-arrest-in-cemetery-sex-assault/) It was brought to my attention by someone who googled the man's name and came across this website. Creepy to see my name associated with this terrible behaviour.

There are many Russell Kirkpatricks in the USA and Canada. Not sure why! I have Irish ancestry - from Ballymoney, a town in Northern Ireland north of Belfast - but know little about it as my paternal grandfather was a secretive man who died before I was born, and my father kept his own counsel. I intend to find out, though.

In the meantime I will update you more regularly, I promise!

That's right, 'Across The Face Of The World' is, according to Bookscan sales data, 2008's bestselling debut fantasy/scifi novel in the US. I knew it was doing well in the States, but not this well! Thank you, everyone!

'Beyond The Wall Of Time' delievered to Publisher

 [Posted 16-Jan-2009]

People are wondering when Book 3 of the 'Husk' (Aus/NZ) or 'Broken Man' (UK/US) trilogy is due out. I submitted it to the publisher in December, and all things being equal it should be published in Aus/NZ in mid-2009 and in the UK/US in late 2009. A long wait, I know, but that's publishing for you. In the meantime, can I interest you in ...
